Jameson Cresta

Situated in the very heart of the city, The Jameson places you within Harare's central business district. Accommodation includes twenty-four hour room service in your en-suite room, where all the luxuries are provided for you. All 123 rooms have radio, television and direct dial telephone service. The Tiffany Restaurant seats up to 110 and offers a la carte and set menus for lunch and dinner. Beauty and hair salons, gift shops, on site parking, and airport transfer are all easily accessible to all guests. Taxis and car hire is also available through the hotel.

 

Barker's Lodge

Barkers Lodge is situated in Kambanji, fifteen minutes from Harare city center and twenty-five minutes from the International Airport. The statuesque wooden giraffes mark the entrance to the lodges and their splendid gardens. Each of the four rooms, tastefully decorated with individual colors and designs, is equipped with satellite television, Internet and international direct dial telephone. The main lodge incorporates a forty-seat restaurant, diners lounge and bar. The pool side bar and lounge, where light lunches are served, affords a refreshing break from the rigors of the city. Visitors can enjoy a game on the all weather floodlit tennis court, a walk among the many indigenous and exotic plants, or a seat in the shade of one of the huge msasa trees.

 

Bronte Hotel

The Bronte is a delightfully old world Hotel. It is lovely, and set back from the street in its own quiet gardens. Accommodation consists of one hundred rooms, all with private bath, phone, television, and individual verrandah overlooking hotel gardens. For relaxation, they have a pool and a bar. The Bronte is ideal for Harare stays, as it is only one kilometer from downtown Harare.

 

Wild Geese Lodge

Located just on the outskirts of Harare the Wild Geese Lodge is set set at the head of the Mazowe valley and enjoys panoramic views across savannah grasslands and indigenous trees, to the distant blue mountains of the Iron Mask range. The thatched ochre-washed complex (accommodates eighteen guests) contains eight double suites, each with en-suite bathroom and private verandah, as well as the Sunbird cottage, a spacious self-contained cottage, which provides the option of self catering facilities. The main lodge forms the central feature with its high open-thatched ceilings, and tiled verandah, leading into a spacious dining room and attractive bar, where well planned meals are provided by the chef who uses fresh in-season farm produce. Guests may enjoy a variety of activities including golf, tennis, guided horseback safaris, walks on marked walking trails, and explorations of the numerous craft centers or the famous Domboshawa hills with their massive granite outcrops and bushmen paintings.

 

Imba Matombo

Imba Matombo, meaning house of stone, is situated in Glen Lorne, a leafy suburb of Harare, Zimbabwe's capital city. It's vantage point gives spectacular views over the surrounding countryside, across to the Domboshawa Hills. The city and airport are only fifteen to twenty five minutes away. The property consists of ten freestanding lodges surrounding a mammoth, whitewashed and thatched room Main house. Each suite has a double bed, dressing area, en suite bathroom, as well as its own verandahs. Each room also receives satellite television. The poolside offers a panoramic view across to Domboshawa. The food is gourmet, and often the chef’s own creation. There is a beautiful, formal dining room, or if one so chooses, there are several outside dining areas including the thatched gazebo next to the pool.

 

Landela Lodge

This delightful historical homestead with extensive gardens is situated in Ruwa, some 18 miles east of Harare. The thatched main building houses three bedrooms and the honeymoon suite, with an additional six rooms set in a small courtyard. During chilly winter evenings, a roaring log fire burns in the attractive and comfortable lounge. Dinner is served in the dining room, or on summer evenings, either on the verandah or by the pool. Guests can choose to relax by the pool, visit the city center for shopping or alternatively, go horseback riding on a nearby game farm. Guests are automatically extended complimentary membership of the local Country Club where they can enjoy squash, tennis or a leisurely 18 holes of golf.
